Member info.. Learned about alt currency over ten years ago in a class. The Urban Ecology Center in Milwaukee also talked alternative ways of sharing in one of their Northwest Institute workshops. Never thought it would take seven more years till I met people using it. Madison offers great alternatives. Our time is spent mostly at home. The balance of our lives depends on it. Friends and neighbors are our major support network. I am grateful for that as that is something to build on. My husband, Guido, our cat and three kids all live on Madison's East side. We love it. We lucked into buying a house 1/2 block from the Goodman Center. I volunteer a few places. Weekly, at the Goodman Center where I clean the fitness room. Lowell Elementary in my Son's kindergarten classroom. And less often at WORT making short radio pieces for Health Writers On the Air/ a collective/. I am also a member of Timebank. A full time mom. My husband Guido works at Willy Street Co-op. We also are community gardeners with Troy Garden, St. Paul Garden and Guido will help with a new plot at Salvation Army this growing season. |
