2010 Flower Shares Available - Accept Partial payment in Hours - Vegetable shares Full for Season
We are small-scale diversified farmers, producing organic vegetables, herbs, cut flowers and fruit. Working mostly by hand, we provide 20-week shares of organic produce (mid-May to mid-October) typically using less than 1 quart of fuel on-farm per share. Subscribers can expect to receive raspberries, apples, pears and hardy kiwi in addition to a wide variety of vegetables and herbs. More seasonal fruits may become available as we expand our orchard to include aronia, currants, plums, and grapes.
Subscribers may also choose to sign up for our monthly or seasonal cut flower shares and/or compost return service -- we provide the buckets, you collect your vegetable waste, and we return it to the soil each week.We support re-localizing and redistributing wealth more equitably and therefore accept partial payment in local currency (Madison Hours). Subscriber rebates are also available through participating health insurance providers, as well as cost sharing for subscirbers enrolled in MACSAC's Partner Shares program. We encourage and invite our subscribers to join us for on farm celebrations and service projects. Pickup is Sundays on North Baldwin Street, east isthmus. Contact Rob McClure or Erin Schneider, for more information or to sign up.
