The Grassroutes Caravan of Resilience is a bike caravan going from Madison to Detroit for the US Social Forum in June of 2010.

Detroit is known as ground zero for the evident failure of capitalism, it was chosen as the home of the US Social Forum for this reason, the forum hopes to bring tangible infrastructure for the creation of a new kind of community and hopes to give a lending hand to this city that is redefining what it means to live in an urban area. The forum is also a national networking event of social rights issues that allows organizers and activists from around the country to connect and share experiences/ideas.

The Caravan: The Grassroutes Caravan is an active community building experience that will help us all understand what it means to be interdependent and co-creative people. We have stops and workshop days in Milwaukee, Lansing, and Grand Rapids. We hope to have a mobile radical puppet show, musicians, and art projects. Please apply/ tell your ideas and interest!
