Madison Hours Cooperative Board of Directors Election
The Board meets monthly and directors typically volunteer 1 - 4 hours per month. We have a 5 person board. Currently, there are 3 seats open for 2 year terms.
I encourage everyone to strongly consider running for these positions. It is a great way to help the local community by strengthening our local currency system. Whether you are new to our system or an old pro, your insight will be helpful and put to good use. We are experiencing growth in membership and in usage so we need help to keep it growing. There is a long way to go to realize the rich potential this project has to transform our communities. The main thing that holds us back is people-power so please consider volunteering for the Board.
All current voting members are eligible to nominate themselves. If you are a non-voting member you can upgrade your membership by simply paying the annual fee.
Nominations are due by May 17, 2010 at 6 pm. To nominate yourself, log in to madisonhours.org and go to your profile page. You will see a link to nominate yourself by creating a Candidate Statement which should include: a short bio of relevant experience, a description of your goals and ideas for Madison Hours and a summary of your experience with the system (or any similar systems.)
The election will run on-line for a week and will conclude with a membership meeting where members can meet the candidates. Details about the membership meeting will be posted on our website and emailed to all members.
Thanks for your consideration. Please feel free to call me with any questions.
